Interra Health, Inc. is proud to accept our first Future 50 award!

-- News Release - June 10, 2008--

“The Future 50 list is often a harbinger of what’s around the corner for the region’s economy,” said Tim Sheehy, president of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC). To be considered for the Future 50 companies must meet the criteria of having local headquarters (within the seven counties of southeast Wisconsin), independent ownership and strong growth in revenue and employment.

Combined, this year’s Future 50 had a total employment of 2,716 jobs and $612 million in revenue by year-end 2007. More than half the winners are being recognized for the first time (companies can win the award up to three times).  MMAC website

New clinic caters to county workers - Nurse practitioner serves staff, families at low cost clinic

The Sheboygan Press - by Bob Petrie
-- Article - July 11, 2008 --

Since early June, Karen Bonner has been the nurse practitioner at the Sheboygan County InHealth Clinic, offering a wide array of health services specifically for county workers and their families who are enrolled in the county's health insurance plan.

"She really takes the time to find out what's up," said Ryan Burg, 39, who works in the county's division of economic support. He has had two visits with Bonner in the first month: one for an ear problem, the other for a physical exam.

"She spent a lot of time trying to get to know me, not only as a patient, but also as an individual," Burg said.

Through last week, 94 people have visited the clinic, on the first floor of the Prairie States building at 615 Pennsylvania Ave. It was developed by county officials with Interra Health, which operates the clinic, as a way to reduce overall health-care costs by offering low-cost services for its employees.

About 200 county employees also received health screenings at the clinic under a new wellness program offered by the county.

"I'm very pleased with the level of participation," said Mike Collard, the county's human resources director.

The firm is on site to meet with employees at Serigraph two days a week. When employees with chronic health issues are identified, the work site health firm sets up individualized diet, health and fitness plans for those individuals.
